Lean On Me—But Not Just One Side

It’s funny how we take on a diagnosis—as though that assessment (coming through the mouth of a professional) now defines our physical form. Frozen shoulder. Fallen arches. Or my personal favorite: leg length discrepancy.

I typically respond to “I have one leg that’s longer than the other” with:

“The day I meet a symmetrical human is the day I know the cyborgs have taken over the Earth.”

But really, the answer is more nuanced than that.

Leg length can appear to vary for all sorts of reasons—because bodies are eminently adaptable. Joint alignment (how one bone meets another) shifts in response to posture, movement habits, and even the surfaces we stand on.

Tell someone their pelvis is rotated and they’ll likely call their chiropractor. If it’s a leg length “issue,” a podiatrist might prescribe custom orthotics.

But both these approaches tend to treat the body as a fixed machine—when in reality, joint mechanics are
dynamic and responsive.

That satisfying “pop” in your SI joint? It might bring temporary relief, but it won’t necessarily solve the deeper rotational imbalances—unless the bones themselves were the root cause.

What if, instead, you could influence your pelvis through proprioceptive feedback—reminding your nervous system of what “center” feels like?

In just 6 minutes, you’ll learn:

  • Why pelvic rotation often masquerades as leg length discrepancy
  • A washcloth trick to give your ischial bones smart sensory input
  • A mini-sequence to restore functional symmetry—without force or equipment

This isn’t about “fixing” yourself—it’s about giving your body a chance to reorganize from the inside out.

  • Adaptive joint mechanics and the femur–pelvis relationship
  • How proprioception rewires postural patterns
  • Cueing strategies that build alignment through awareness, not force
